At Spectra Community Care, we understand that every behaviour has a meaning. Behaviours of concern are not simply actions they are often signs of unmet needs, stress, or difficulties in communication.
Our role is to work alongside you, your family, and support team to understand these behaviours and develop practical, effective strategies. We aim to reduce challenging behaviours while building skills that support independence and wellbeing.
By combining compassion with expertise, our behaviour support practitioners ensure that therapy is not just about managing behaviours but about creating opportunities for positive change. We believe in delivering support where it matters most—in your home, school, workplace, or community.
Our behaviour support practitioners bring together expertise from social work, occupational therapy, developmental education, and mental health, ensuring you’re matched with the right specialist for your needs. Our approach covers a wide range of supports, including individual assessments and behaviour plans, interim and comprehensive support planning, training for families and support workers, emotional regulation and life skill development, and community-based therapy sessions. We also provide team-based support for both children and adults, along with many other strategies to promote positive behaviour and overall wellbeing.

We stand out for our commitment to supporting individuals with care, respect, and purpose.

We focus on each individual’s unique needs, preferences, and goals.

We provide support with empathy, understanding, and a safe environment for healing.

We help individuals achieve meaningful outcomes through structured, purpose-driven plans.
To access Positive Behaviour Support, you’ll need NDIS funding under Improved Relationships or Behaviour Support. This ensures we can deliver specialist, evidence-informed services.
If this funding isn’t in your plan, you may still qualify under Improved Daily Living for moderate behaviour support. Not yet an NDIS participant? We can guide you through the process to apply and access the right supports.
Our practitioners come from diverse backgrounds such as social work, occupational therapy, developmental education, and mental health. This allows us to match you with the right specialist for your needs.
Restrictive practices are methods used to limit behaviours that may cause harm. Our goal is always to minimise and, wherever possible, remove these practices by teaching positive alternatives.
