NDIS Functional Capacity Assessments

NDIS Functional Capacity Assessment

At Spectra Community Care, we believe that every individual deserves the right support to reach their full potential. That’s why we provide NDIS Functional Capacity Assessments tailored to your unique circumstances.

Our assessments are carried out by experienced occupational therapists who take the time to understand your goals, abilities, and challenges. We focus on identifying the supports that will make the biggest difference in your everyday life.

With a clear, detailed report, we ensure you have the right evidence to strengthen your NDIS plan, secure funding, and move forward with confidence toward greater independence.

Community Behaviour Support Care

Functional Capacity Assessments help identify how well you manage everyday tasks at home, school, work, and in the community. They provide a clear understanding of your strengths, challenges, and support needs, guiding therapy choices, assistive technology, and NDIS funding decisions.

Key benefits include stronger evidence for NDIS funding, a clear view of your abilities and needs, personalised therapy recommendations, guidance on assistive technology and equipment, and a practical plan to build greater independence.

Our Spectra Functional Capacity Assessment services include:

Comprehensive evaluation across 35 life tasks

Personalised, easy-to-read reports

Eligibility & Funding

Who is eligible and how is it funded?

To access a Functional Capacity Assessment, you’ll usually need NDIS funding under Capacity Building — Improved Daily Living. This ensures we can deliver a thorough, evidence-based assessment tailored to your goals and NDIS requirements.

If this funding isn’t in your plan, you may still request it during a plan review or explore other options with your support coordinator. Not yet an NDIS participant? We can also guide you through the application process to help you access the right supports.

Our practitioners come from diverse backgrounds such as social work, occupational therapy, developmental education, and mental health. This allows us to match you with the right specialist for your needs.
